
AJW Media, Inc. is really just Mike and Dave – plus a little
help from our wives, families and of course our friends –
and we’re all based here in Atlanta. After talking about
our frustrations of being over thirty and fighting with ‘love
handles’ and ‘spare tires’ and…well, you
know…we decided we both wanted to make a healthy lifestyle
adjustment that would be helpful short-term (get us looking great!)
and long-term (looking great with better health).
We both knew
all about exercising using weights. We also know about exercising
using all-natural bodyweight exercises. For the first manual –
The Average Joe Workout – we decided
to focus on bodyweight exercises for a couple of reasons. The first
and foremost reason is that we want you to be able to do them no
matter where you are and without having to rely on weights.
The
Average Joe Workout represents the best of the best
that we found in all-natural bodyweight exercises. The military
uses many of these exercises, as do many professional athletes.
We brought it all together for your benefit.
It
all starts with what we call the “base AJW-5”.
These are exercises that you focus on first in the Average
Joe Workout, and they’re designed to be your
continuous workout – meaning you always do them. Once you
feel comfortable with the base AJW-5,
then we add the supplemental exercises. They’re tough! But,
even after years of doing these exercises, they continue to burn
fat and keep you strong and lean! The key is in the manual!

The first 3 weeks of doing this will be the hardest. For most people,
it takes about three weeks to establish a new habit (or break an
old one). Maybe try working out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
You may have to get up about 20-30 minutes earlier those days to
get your new routine to fit into your daily schedule. You might
want to try it after you get home from work. You could even do it
at your office or on your lunch hour! This workout is meant for
you to take EVERYWHERE! Eventually, you’ll get better at the
workouts and you’ll probably want to start doing it everyday
– which will get you in shape even faster! But start at a
comfortable pace.
 
If you’ve ever tried going jogging or going to the gym by
yourself, then you know it’s really hard to keep going. You
don’t have anyone motivating you, pushing you and keeping
you accountable. This often happens most around the turn of
the New Year when people are making resolutions about getting healthy.
You start, then it fades. But your desire to be healthy and in shape
didn’t change. That is why we strongly suggest having a workout
buddy or two. The AJW manual is
sturdy yet flexible, coming in a spiral binding so that you can
just flip it open to the exercise page you want. You’ll be
able to look at the pictures to show you how to do it, as well as
the super easy descriptions! You’ll also get some quotes at
the bottom of each page to either make you laugh, think or motivate
you to be a better than ‘average Joe’ in all areas of
your life!

After you have been doing the AJW consistently
for three weeks, you’ll be in the habit of doing it. Most
people who commit at least 3 days a week to the workout see results
in about three weeks, if not sooner. So, stay committed to the big
picture of getting into shape with easy-to-do exercises and you’ll
be so happy you did. Plus, you’ll look awesome! Do it everyday
and you’ll get better results, faster!
